ASB 2016

The American Society of Biomechanics will hold its 40th annual meeting from August 2-5, 2016 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh North Carolina. The conference focusses on contemporary biomechanics research, within the following domains:

The conference will feature the following keynote speakers:

  • Sheila Patek - Associate Professor of Biology at Duke University
  • Tibor Hortobagyi - Professor in MOvement and Healthy Ageing at the University Medical Center Groningen, the Netherlands

In addition to the scientific program, which can be viewed on the ASB official site, the conference will also feature the following Social events:

  • Opening Reception - to be held in the grand lobby and plaza of teh Raleigh Convention Center
  • Banquet - to be hosted at the NC Museum of NAtural Sciences
  • Lab Tours - tour the Centennial Campus of NCSU, which houses the College of Engineering and many biomechanics labs
  • 5K Fun Run
